Adapted from Philip K Dick’s novel ‘Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, Harrison Ford excels as the world weary detective Rick Deckard hunting down mutinous, murderous replicants in an oppressive futuristic cosmopolis. Given complete artistic freedom to make The Final Cut in 2007, the 25th anniversary of the films opening, Ridley Scott created this final, definitive version, fully restored from the original negative. The Regent Street Cinema was re-opened by the University of Westminster in May 2015, reinstating one of the most historic cinemas in Britain to its former grandeur. Built in 1848 and housed within the Polytechnic Institution on London’s Regent Street, the cinema was the first in the country to show moving pictures.
